“I wanted someone to love who would stay: stay and be there, always.”— Audrey Niffenegger, The Time’s Traveler’s Wife
(via books-n-quotes)
“I’ve had enough hurt already in my life. More than enough. Now I want to be happy.”—
Haruki Murakami
It’s been said before and I will say it again: men love to think they’re so tough and intellectual, but they have no clue of the extent to which women treat them with kid gloves because we know just how emotionally distressed they get at any challenge to their world views. The faintest sign of a challenge and they immediately kick off and start trying to derail and make things personal and petty.
This is 100% true. They are like giant toddlers when they don’t get their way.
